Groups & Events: Educational Materials

This section contains educational materials and resources associated with groups, workshops, and events I am currently conducting or have conducted in the past. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to share these materials with individuals and groups throughout the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas , covering topics such as addiction and recovery, mindfulness, meditation, self-talk, behavioral change, and personal growth.

These resources include handouts, exercises, guides, and other materials that were developed or shared as part of those programs. Some were created for a specific group or event, while others are designed to stand on their own and may be useful beyond the setting in which they were originally presented. I will continue adding materials as I develop new resources and revisit the work from groups and events I have conducted throughout the South Jersey and Philadelphia communities.

Positive Self-Talk & Affirmations This resource explores the relationship between positive and negative self-talk, belief systems, emotions, and behavior. It explains how limiting beliefs and habitual internal dialogue can influence recovery and provides practical guidelines for creating effective affirmations. The material also includes examples of recovery-focused affirmations, techniques for incorporating them into meditation and daily practice, and exercises that can be used in groups and workshops.
Learning to Sit With Yourself - Building Inner Strength & Resilience (Meditation) A practical guide to meditation that explores the core techniques, benefits, and universal layers of meditation. It helps build inner strength, emotional regulation, and resilience by teaching how to create space between triggers and responses through breath awareness, mantras, and structured breathing exercises.
The Freedom of Forgiveness - Understanding, Processing, and Releasing Emotional Burdens An in-depth guide exploring forgivenesss not as approval or forgetting, but as an essential process of understanding, processing, and releasing emotional burdens. It examines the emotional cost of holding onto anger, the difference between the memory and the pain, and practical steps to resolve past emotional patterns and achieve lasting emotional freedom.
When Anger Speaks - Understand the Message Behind Your Emotions Anger is not the enemy—it is information signaling a need, value, boundary, or sense of safety. Understanding its message allows us to respond effectively rather than react automatically. By recognizing underlying emotions, understanding protective brain responses, and creating a pause between feeling and reaction, we gain the freedom to choose outcomes that truly serve us.
